On 26–27 September 2026, OBRELA, a partner in the iSOCaaS consortium, took part in cipherX 2026, a hands-on cybersecurity conference held at the DAIS Conference Centre in Marousi, Athens. Over the two days, the event drew about 70–100 attendees, mainly cybersecurity professionals, DFIR specialists, SOC analysts, researchers, students and technology professionals. This is exactly the community that iSOCaaS services are designed to support.

A packed two-day programme
The cipherX programme combined keynotes, technical talks and practical sessions across a main stage, a second track and a sponsors’ arena. Topics included AI in cyber defense, threat hunting with MITRE ATT&CK, vulnerability management in the EU, digital forensics, offensive security and information security assurance. On the second day, a Capture the Flag (CTF) competition ran alongside the talks, and the event closed with an awards ceremony.
OBRELA on the DFIR frontlines
On the first day, OBRELA presented “The Evolution of ClickFix: From the DFIR Frontlines” in Track 2. The talk drew on real-world digital forensics and incident response experience to show how this social-engineering technique has evolved and how defenders can detect and respond to it. That practical, operations-first view of threat detection and response sits at the heart of iSOCaaS.
Bringing iSOCaaS to the SOC community
At its booth, OBRELA showcased its managed cyber resilience services together with the iSOCaaS project. About 20–30 iSOCaaS flyers went to attendees over the two days. iSOCaaS is designing intelligent, managed Security Operation Centre services for European cyber resilience, built around four core capabilities: AI orchestration and automation, cross-border incident response, shared situational awareness, and preparedness and training. For an audience of SOC analysts and incident responders, these capabilities connect directly to the challenges they face every day.
Looking ahead
Technical conferences like cipherX connect iSOCaaS with the practitioners who will ultimately use and benefit from its results. The feedback and contacts from these events help shape the project as it moves forward.
