iSOCaaS at “AI Enables Cybersecurity: The Meetup Event 2026” in Athens

On 14 January 2026, SPHYNX, a partner in the iSOCaaS consortium, represented the project at “AI Enables Cybersecurity: The Meetup Event 2026”. COSMOTE TELEKOM hosted the event at OTE Headquarters in Marousi, Athens. The meetup was co-organised by the VIGILANCE and CyberAid projects and the Big Data Value Association (BDV), with the support of the European Commission. More than 700 participants attended, among them cybersecurity professionals, researchers, industry representatives, policymakers, startup founders and representatives of EU-funded research projects.

AI at the heart of cyber defense

The day’s programme was organised in five panels that looked at AI and cybersecurity from different angles:

  • Collaborative Cyber Defense in the AI Era: unlocking data spaces and AI factories for resilient strategies.
  • Business Value of AI in Cybersecurity.
  • Privacy, legal and ethical implications: GDPR compliance and secure data governance in AI-enabled security systems.
  • AI-based cybersecurity and the future of Financial Services resilience.
  • Agentic Computing for Cybersecurity & Data Integrity.

Between sessions, participants had time for networking and a lunch break. They could also visit the stands of the 51 EU co-funded projects and 8 startups taking part.

Showcasing iSOCaaS

SPHYNX ran a dedicated iSOCaaS stand. Visitors received project flyers and learned about the project’s goals and approach. iSOCaaS is designing intelligent, managed Security Operation Centre (SOC) services for European cyber resilience. Its four core capabilities are AI orchestration and automation, cross-border incident response, shared situational awareness, and preparedness and training. The event’s central theme was collaborative, AI-driven cyber defense, which made it a natural fit for the project. The stand drew interest from both industry and the research community.

Connecting with the EU research ecosystem

Events like this put iSOCaaS alongside dozens of other EU-funded initiatives. They open opportunities for synergies, knowledge exchange and future collaboration across the European cybersecurity landscape.
